Get Things Done With BungkusIt

13 March 201813 March 2018

We’re moms. On top of looking after the children, we have million of other things on our to-do list. Lucky me, I’ve found an app that’s worth mentioning and possibly put some of your miseries to rest. It’s called BungkusIt!

BungkusIt is an app that allows you to get things done like:-

  • Order food from your favourite restaurant
  • Get groceries from the supermarket
  • Deliver your items without queuing up at the post office
  • Pick up things from places for you

Basically everything EXCEPT picking up your kids from school (haha). BungkusIt also promised to get your task done in less than 60 minutes. How superb is that?! No time wasted!

I’ve had the privilege to try out their service and it was pretty easy for a first-timer.

How to go about it? Firstly you need to download the BungkusIt app via App Store or Google Play. Click on register and fill in your details. Key in 4tg2yk in the referral code field.

When you’re done, you’re set to make your first order! For me, I’d like them to purchase McDonald’s and have it sent to my home. Yum yum. Simply add the nearest McDonald’s in the ‘Pickup’ field and your home address in the ‘Drop Off’ field.

Once you’re satisfied, click DONE. You will then see the image below. Select ‘Pay at Drop Off’ and make sure you’ve enough cash to give the roadie when he comes. Type in your order in the ‘Tell us what you want’ section. Be specific and clear if you do not want your order to get messed up. Add a photo if possible to help your roadie with the order. When you’re done click Submit.

Once a roadie accepts your order, you will see this on your screen. This is so useful as it shows you the ETA of the roadie.

My order arrived safe and sound in less than 60 minutes! So happy cos I was super hungry haha. Upon completion of task, you will then have a chance to rate your roadie and in my case, he did a great job in delivering my food.

Don’t forget to key in the code below when you register to get RM6 off!

Why I love my Babyzen Yoyo+ and Maxi-Cosi CabrioFix

18 February 2018

Since my first review and comparison between the Babyzen Yoyo+ and GB Pockit, I’ve been happily using the Babyzen Yoyo+ for about two years now. It is by far the best stroller I’ve used – lightweight, aircraft cabin approved and compact enough to fit into any car.

But now, my firstborn had since ‘self-graduate’ from the stroller and she’s fond of just walking and running around on her own when we go out. This is where a child harness comes in handy. Sure, if you’re using a child harness you will get funny stares from people around often accompanied with whispers such as “look look, so cute lar” or “yier like dog like that”.

But whatever it is, a child harness is to prevent the toddler from straying too far and most importantly, from being snatched away. I have been using the Trunki ToddlePak reins and I’m extremely happy with it – my toddler is always excited to wear it. Another popular type is the wrist link type which I am not particularly fond of as the constant tugging isn’t very good for the toddler’s wrist and shoulder.

Back to the Babyzen Yoyo+. So, now that my firstborn is no longer using the stroller and I now have a new infant in my family, the Yoyo+ has another great use – the stroller chassis can be used to attach a Maxi-Cosi CabrioFix using special adapters.

As the Yoyo+ is ultra lightweight and compact, the entire combination (Yoyo+ chassis, CabrioFix and adapters) only weighs about 6kg.

I find that this is possibly the best city stroller and infant car seat combination – Even better than the Quinny Zapp and Maxi-Cosi CabrioFix combination I reckon!

Here’s an example of how the combination works:
1. Detach Maxi-Cosi CabrioFix from Yoyo+ with a single push of the buttons on each side

2. Fit CabrioFix into the car with infant inside – secure the Cabriofix in place

3. Fold the Yoyo+ and either put it inside the trunk or just on the floor of the car

Car seat and city stroller combinations have come a long way since. Now, there are 2-in-1 equipments combining both car seat and stroller without the need of detaching them – the Doona Car Seat Stroller. However, this clever and very beautifully designed buggy can only be used up to a limited age which makes it uneconomical.

Maggi OatMee Mi Goreng Curry Flavour

22 December 201619 April 2017

Lazada sent a package full of products for me to review and one of them was this- Maggi OatMee Mi Goreng Curry flavour. I’m not a regular consumer of instant noodles in general. But the idea of having something that is good for your body when eating instant noodles kind of gives the person some sort of peace of mind. Who would know that this combination would ever exist. They say instant noodles are bad for you, but this one has oats in it sooo is that a good thing? Haha whatever, I’ve tested this out and it’s actually not that bad.

It’s a little bit pricey than the normal Maggi, about RM6 per pack. It’s a ‘healthier’ version so it does make sense right?

The noodles itself looked brownish, probably cos of the added oats (or is it?) It comes with seasoning oil, sweet soy and curry-flavoured powder.

Soaked the noodles in hot water for a few minutes. Took them out and added the seasonings. I’ve had leftover beef balls from the night before so I just added them in.

If you’re hungry and in need of a quick meal, this could probably be a healthier option than the rest of the instant noodles out there in Malaysia. Give it a try 🙂
