La Risata @ Damansara Heights

I can’t believe it’s been a year since I’ve got married! So many wonderful things happened along the way and I am thankful for each and every single moment Here’s a recap.

Sept 2014 – Got married
Oct 2014 – Moved into our new home and started a new job
Jan 2015 – Got pregnant
April 2015 – Found out that we are having a baby girl
May 2015 – Decided to quit job
June 2015 – Left job and became a full-time freelancer
Sept 2015 – Celebrated 1st year anniversary and expecting the bubbs anytime soon

I’ve always imagined my first year anniversary would be celebrated somewhere with really good steak paired with a bottle (or two) of chardonnay or sauvignon blanc (I like white better than red). Since I’m pregnant, good food alone would do (we shall do the wine thing next year then). We decided to head to La Risata which is located in the neighbourhood of Damansara Heights. They also have another branch which is all the way in Ampang.

The husband ordered a martini which was according to him ‘quite strong’ (mental note: this place does not stinge on alcohol ) and I got a glass of ice lemon tea. We’ve also ordered lobster spaghetti and lamb shank for mains, then tiramisu for dessert. They were quite generous with the portion of the lobster and spaghetti which tasted good. Lamb shank was equally nice except that I wasn’t too fond of the vegetable mixture with the mashed potato. The tiramisu was served in a coffee cup and if ever you decided to order this, be warned that the cocoa powder can make you cough once you put it in your mouth and inhale (happened to both of us lol). Oh and also they don’t serve refillable filtered water, they have a range of high end bottled water in their menu.
