A short trip back to Kota Kinabalu

The moment I touched down on the tarmac at the airport in Kota Kinabalu, it felt so good to finally be home after our last trip last year for our wedding reception. The way the airport was built made it possible to enjoy the shimmering sea before landing- the familiar sight I will never forget. I came back to paradise

The brother picked us up and all of us went straight to my aunt’s house for dinner. We were greeted by the heavenly smell of roasted chicken with lemon and rosemary. Couldn’t wait to dig in!

This was definitely the highlight of the night, tiramisu! Mine was made without any alcohol although it would make so much difference with Bailey’s in it! (The rest had that extra zing in them)

Another aunt who came over brought my favourite mango freshly plucked from the tree in her yard as well as the belacan. Goodness me, I was spoiled! I smuggled some back to KL with me teehees.

Overall the trip was as good as always. I can’t wait to go back again in August. My best friend is getting married!
